Arsenal won the double as manager Arsène Wenger and midfielder Aaron Ramsey received the Barclays Premier League manager and player of the month awards for September.
Ramsey scored five goals - four in the league - to continue his exceptional form in the Gunners' midfield.
He has scored eight goals in all competitions so far this campaign, having struck just twice last season.
The 24-year-old emerged as the scapegoat during Arsenal's eighth trophyless term in succession in 2012-13 but has won over supporters and shown the form which convinced Wenger to sign him as a 17-year-old from Cardiff in 2008.
Arsenal won all four of their league games in September, beating Tottenham, Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea as they overcame their opening day defeat to Aston Villa.
Wenger's side are at the summit of the league on goal difference and also top their Champions League group following wins over Marseille and Napoli.
