Edgar Davids was sent off for a vicious elbow on Wrexham defender Stephen Wright during Barnet's 1-1 Conference Premier draw.
Captain Davids, who started at centre back, was dismissed three minutes before time during a 20-man shoving match at the Hive Stadium.
The 40-year-old, wearing the No.1 shirt, was making his fourth appearance of the season having received yellow cards in his previous three outings.
After the brawl, Dean Keates scored from the resulting free-kick to earn the Welsh side a draw.
However Wrexham were reduced to nine men moments later when Johnny Hunt was shown a straight red for a horror challenge on Curtis Weston.
