As devastating as it sounds, we're now just two years away from the date to which Marty McFly travelled forwards in Back To The Future Part 2.
And no, we still don't have giant three-dimensional shark holograms, flying cars or a retro-themed diner with Gorbachev Goulash on the menu.
But what we do have - kinda - is a hoverboard, thanks to ZBoard, makers of an electric weight-sensing skateboard that now comes in a very special nostalgia edition - with Michael J. Fox's personal blessing.
The ZBoard 'Hoverboard' edition is a limited run version of the classic Mattel-pink skateboard from the classic movie. It comes with all the gadgetry inside a normal Zboard, including the ability to travel up to 20 miles, at 18mph, but with extra-special graphics to make it feel like you're hovering, when you're actually just rolling.
The profits for the sale of each of the 25 boards will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and will cost you $1,500 via Indiegogo. Another 50 decks that can be fitted to an existing Zboard are also available, and will cost $200.

From early in the development of the ZBoard, people often compared it to the Hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II. With this model, we’re embracing our inner movie nerd, while doing what we can to support a great cause. Proceeds from this model will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, in honor of his tireless work as an advocate for those living with the debilitating neurological disorder, and of course, for his performance as Marty McFly.
