A woman has been arrested on suspicion of trying to sell her baby at an airport.
CCTV released by Turkish police shows a 22-year-old woman, identified as 'Dinara A', arriving at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen airport in a taxi with her mother – with a baby in a carrycot.
'Dinara A' is shown talking on a mobile phone, before a woman and man walk towards her. She then goes into the airport toilet with the four-month-old baby, and is followed by the woman who joined her moments before.
The woman then leaves the toilet with the baby.
Police say 'Dinara A' agreed to give the child to the Turkish-born German couple in exchange for 1,000 Turkish Liras (£310).
It is reported the German woman returned the baby to the toilets when she realised she would not be able to pass through passport control with the child. She then called the police, claiming she found the child, but the CCTV proved otherwise.
The child is said to have been returned to 'Dinara A' who has been deported from Turkey.
