Assuming her words would not be picked up by the mic, this shocking footage shows 'pageant mom' Melissa Wynn leaning in close to her five-year-old daughter Carley and whispering in her ear, 'You are going to be a very sorry girl'.
In an extract from the controversial Toddlers and Tiaras show, Melissa goes on to talk to camera with a rictus grin, saying: 'I feel her and I are the same person. We live the same life. We're best friends. I feel that is me on stage.'
Carley has clearly had enough of rehearsing her dance routine for her latest competition, but her mum's words - followed by a threat to take away her i-Pod - have the desired effect, and Carley is soon a-dancing and a-prancing around their living room once more - until she gets fed up again - and Melissa gets caught off mic once more...
'We are on camera,' the mad mom whispers, 'don't you dare tell me no one more time.'
'You are driving me crazy,' an exasperated Carley finally explodes.
We know how she feels.
