The world isn't exactly short of drones - but it's never had any quite as cute as this.

The DelFry Explorer is a new creation of researchers at Delft University of Technology, which is able to flap its wings and fly around, autonomously, for nine minutes.

Spotted by Engadget, the little robots fly less than 0.7oz, and use a barometer, gyroscope and cameras to maintain level flight and avoid obstacles.
