'Coronation Street' star Michelle Keegan has spoken out about working with her idol Cheryl Cole after the Girls Aloud singer joined her on set of the soap recently.
The actress, who has dressed up in a sexy Mrs Santa costume for ITV's Text Santa charity appeal, said: "I was really excited when I found out that Cheryl Cole was going to be filming at Corrie. She is someone I really admire and I have never met her properly so when I found out she was going to play Tina's friend I couldn't believe it."
Michelle also revealed that Chezza was somewhat of a natural on the cobbles, explaining: "They say never meet your idols but she was amazing. She is such a huge Corrie fan and she was genuinely pleased to be filming with us. I sat and chatted with her for ages which was lovely. She didn't need any tips from us all though, she was really good, a natural.
"She knew all her lines and she seemed to really enjoy herself."
Speaking about her 'Corrie' cameo, Cheryl recently said: "It has always been part of my life, we'd all watch it as kids every night. It's surreal to be part of something I've watched my whole life.
"It's great to be able to support six wonderful charities and I really hope that this year's appeal makes a difference to many lives."
Michelle's character, barmaid Tina McIntyre, is due to be killed off in the New Year.
Will you be sad to see her go?
