It's been 4 decades since we last saw a new image of the Earth from the Moon so this shot taken by China's Yutu rover is long overdue.
The stunning photo was taken on Christmas Day and has just been released by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

'Yutu', or 'Jade Rabbit', made a textbook soft-landing on the Moon on the 14th of December as part of China's ambitious space program.
It is an enormous source of pride for the country, the third to carry out a lunar soft landing — which does not damage the craft and the equipment it carries — after the United States and the former Soviet Union.
The last one was by the Soviet Union in 1976.
