Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has delivered a speech as a ten-foot hologram.
Even though he was unable to attend in person, Erdogan delivered his speech in Izmir on Saturday as planned - but only after earlier recording his statement earlier against a green screen.
The image was recorded by specialised cameras and then projected to the crowd, so he could address corruption allegations in the country and upcoming elections.
Interestingly, his is not the first use of hologram tech by a politician - as The Atlantic points out. Indeed, CNN briefly experimented with using holograms for live interviews during the 2008 presidential election, but dropped the idea after widespread ridicule.
