American Apparel is a brand that knows how to get people talking (one of their New York stores currently has mannequins with pubic hair in the shop window.) So it's no surprise that their latest ad campaign is breaking boundaries too. And it's all thanks to 62-year-old actress and model Jacky O'Shaughnessy.
American Apparel posted the picture along with the caption, "Sexy has no expiration date," on their Instagram page.
While over 17,000 people liked the photo, others commented that photographing O'Shaughnessy in her lingerie was all part of another publicity stunt.
However, this isn't the first time the actress has modelled for the brand. Huffington Post Style reports that O'Shaughnessy started working with American Apparel in 2012, after she was scouted in a New York restaurant.
Why did the brand pick her? According to Vogue, it was down to her "natural elegance, " but let's not forget, casting a model in her sixties was always going to attract attention. Something tells us American Apparel are very happy with their choice.
