Helen Flanagan's 'Corrie' Co-Star Says She Is 'Misunderstood'

'Coronation Street' star Brooke Vincent has come to the defense of her former on-screen sister Helen Flanagan.

Since leaving the soap in 2012, Helen has become a tabloid staple thanks to her appearance in the 'I'm A Celeb' jungle, as well as her racy photo shoots, including an appearance on page 3 of The Sun.

Brooke told new! magazine: "I really miss her and I'd love her to come back but she's doing her thing and she's doing well. She's got an amazing body and an amazing face and if she's getting work from that, then fair play to her.

"She's a very kind girl and misunderstood."

Since the interview, Helen has publicly thanked Brooke for her support on Twitter, saying:

The two played sisters Rosie and Sophie Webster on 'Corrie' until Helen made the announcement she was leaving the soap back in 2011.

Meanwhile their on-screen dad Michael Le Vell has announced he will be taking a break from the soap, just months after making his comeback, to seek help for his "personal issues".
