Peanuts fans prepare yourselves for the return of Snoopy and Charlie Brown!
In the new Peanuts movie, Snoopy is as mischievous as ever - running rings round Charlie Brown, quite literally!
But there is one major difference between Twentieth Century Fox's Snoopy and the philosophical mutt of the original comic strip - now he's in 3D.
At this stage, the team behind the film are keeping the plot details under wraps. But the story will bring together the entire cast from the comics, including crabby Lucy van Pelt and tomboy Peppermint Patty.
Snoopy creator Charles Shulz died in 2000, but fans of the comic strip can rest assured that the movie will stick as closely as possible to Charles' aesthetic - as one of the film's producers is Charles' son Craig.
"I'm way more protective than my father would have been," Craig told USA Today. "Our number one goal was always to be authentic to his work and legacy."
Another of the film's producers, Paul Feig, who is best known for his work on Bridesmaids, says the new film captures the 'sweet optimism' of the original material.
"Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking, we're in good hands," he says.
As Charlie Brown would say, "Good grief!"
SNOOPY AND CHARLIE BROWN: A PEANUTS MOVIE will be released in UK cinemas in 2015.
