The mastermind behind the viral trend for Baby Mugging (for those unfamiliar with the concept, imagine pictures of babies in mugs) is keen to start a new trend: Baby Suiting.
Blogger and mum of two Ilana pondered all sorts of hashtags, including #allbusinessbabies and #reallysmallbusinessowners, before settling on #Babysuiting for her mugging sequel.
"Unfortunately, I came up with #BabySuiting after [my youngest daughter] Harlow was already on the move. I thought briefly about trying to conceive another child to use as my go-to photo prop, but decided it would be more efficient to use my newborn nephew Jack," Ilana writes on her blog Mommy Shorts.
This was the result and the photo that has started a new trend:
Ilana is calling on all parents of babes to help her make this go viral.
Here are Ilana's instructions of what you need to do:
1. Grab a button down shirt, suit jacket and tie. Put the shirt inside the jacket, the tie around the collar and lie it on the floor.
2. Grab your baby (I recommend an immobile one) and lie him/her in the suit.
3. Whisper sweet nothings as you fasten the buttons, tie the tie, and carefully arrange the jacket. (It's like a swaddle!)
4. Stand up, take a photo (torso up) and post it on the Mommy Shorts facebook page or tag @mommyshorts and #BabySuiting on Instagram.
Simples.
We're not convinced turning your baby into a middle aged man in a suit will catch on. What do you think?
