Olivier Awards 2014: ‘Book Of Mormon' And ‘Chimerica' Dominate Winners List

'Book Of Mormon' Triumphs At Oliver Awards

‘Book Of Mormon’ and ‘Chimerica’ were both triumphant at the Olivier Awards 2014 on Sunday night, scooping a total of nine prizes between them.

‘Book Of Mormon’ took home four accolades, including the Best New Musical and Best Actor In A Musical prizes, while the Almeida Theatre’s ‘Chimerica’ scooped a whopping five prizes.

Along with the Best Director and Best New Play prizes, ‘Chimerica’ came out on top in the Best Set Design, Best Sound Design and Best Lighting.

The ceremony, hosted by Stephen Mangan and Gemma Arterton, also saw awards handed out to shows including ‘Ghosts’, another production which started life at the Almeida, and Les Misérables.

Kate Moss made a surprise appearance at the bash, presenting theatre impresario Michael White with a special lifetime achievement award.
