A young woman has died after a car crash.

The 21-year-old was a passenger in a black Honda Civic which collided with stationary vehicles in Langdon Road in Swansea's new SA1 waterfront development at 10.24pm yesterday.

South Wales Police confirmed that she died at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff earlier today and her next of kin have been informed.

The male driver of the Honda, also 21, was arrested and is currently helping police with their inquiries.

Two people who were in another vehicle at the scene were treated in hospital for their injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash or helped anyone who was at the scene to contact them.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Honda Civic driving in the Marina or SA1 areas around the time of the incident.
