'Assassin's Creed 5' will be released in two parts in November 2014.
The first ('Unity') will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One, perhaps with a PC release too. The second game ('Comet') will be an exclusive for Xbox 360 and PS3.
So what do we know about the new games?
- SETTING: the first footage of Unity has been revealed - and it's not too much of an in-depth look. It shows our main character (we assume) watching an execution from the heights of Notre Dame church in Paris, during the French revolution. There are fluttering tricolor flags, crowds of people and smoking chimneys, and a marked increase in graphical fidelity, but no gameplay footage or other clues about a possible future direction.
- As for Comet, it's looking more like that game will bridge the gap between AC4 and Unity, and feature a Knights Templar sailor sailing mostly around New York and the American East Coast. That's based on various reports in the gaming press but nothing has been confirmed - including the (possible) return of Haythorn Kenway.
- RELEASE DATE: it's looking like November 4th could be a good bet, but the truth is we don't know. Winter 2014 is a given, though.
- NEW FEATURES: Expect a range of new gameplay mechanics, enhanced wall-running and parkour, all-new graphics and more.
