Former ‘TOWIE’ star Lauren Goodger has apparently taken a leaf out of Helen Flanagan’s book and bagged herself a footballer.
While earlier this year Lauren confirmed she was dating somebody new, she remained tight-lipped about who he was, though reports are now claiming that it’s Reading FC’s goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

Last week Lauren found herself at the centre of a Twitter row with her ex-fiancé Mark Wright, who she went out with for over ten years, after he publicly begged her to stop mentioning his name in interviews and urging her: “Start having some respect and MOVE ON.”
However, it now sounds like Lauren might have already done just that, with a little help from her new footballer boyfriend, Alex.

An insider has even suggested that things are getting serious between the pair, telling The Sun: “Lauren is completely over Mark and was loving single life, but her flirtation with Alex has grown and grown. They first met last year and sparks definitely were flying. But it’s not been until recently that it has got serious.
“She recently confessed to her pals that she and Alex were secretly seeing each other and admitted she’s developing really strong feelings for him.”
Lauren was recently forced to deny rumours that her new man was made up, after she refused to reveal who it was she was dating.

Meanwhile, Mark is now engaged to Michelle Keegan, who is best known for playing Tina McIntyre in ‘Coronation Street’.
The couple are planning on getting married next year, with Mark recently confessing he’s not looking forward to “fighting back tears” on the big day.
