Another ‘Coronation Street’ star is facing the chop, and this time it’s Krissi Bohn - who plays Jenna Kamara - who will be bidding farewell to the cobbles this summer.
The Sun are reporting that Krissi’s character is being written out of the show as producers have run out of ideas for storylines to give to her.
The actress told The Sun: “I have enjoyed every single moment of my time on The Street.
“Although I am disappointed not to have my contract renewed I am thankful for all the experience I’ve gained and look forward to whatever the future may hold.”
Show producer Stuart Blackburn praised Krissi’s time as part of the ‘Corrie’ cast, saying: “Krissi has played a key role in some fantastic stories.”
Jenna first arrived on the scene as the physiotherapist of Brooke Vincent’s character Sophie Webster, with the two quickly getting into a relationship despite their age gap and the fact their romance put Jenna’s job on the line.
The two eventually split up, and Jenna’s storylines now largely revolve around her close blond with Lloyd (Craig Charles), who she discovered late in her life was actually her real father.
Georgia recently gave an interview where she revealed that it wasn’t her decision to leave ‘Corrie’, and compared finding out she was being written out of the soap to being dumped.
