Modern smartphones are big, and they're just getting bigger.
Unfortunately that's leaving lots of people with small-to-average size hands in a bit of a pickle: they're just not big enough to use them.
Even Samsung recognises the problem, going so far as to provide a functionally explicable 'one handed mode' in its flagship Galaxy S5 and Note 3 smartphones.
Now a Japanese retailer has a better idea: fake thumbs.
That's right, Rakuten has unveiled a 49mm long, 25mm wide secondary thumb designed to work as a stylus when your own digits won't stretch that far.

The thumb costs the equivalent of $14.50 and can be ordered via the Rakuten website.
