The world has a new fastest text message wrangler - step forward Mr Marcel Fernandes.
The 16-year-old Brazilian has set an official Guinness World Record for typing a 25 word paragraph using a mobile phone.
The teen managed a time of 18.19 seconds, at a rate of 82.5 words a minute, using an app called Fleksy to write the message, but without using auto-correct.
The specific paragraph this time around was:
"The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."
The swipe-based typing app claims to be the fasted method yet developed for writing on a phone.
Fernandes' time beats that of 18.44 seconds set by Microsoft’s Gaurav Sharma in January.
There remain various other texting world records still in place however - Guinness maintains separate records for methods like T9, physical QWERTY keyboards and touchscreen phones.
