A Whitney Houston fan has purchased the megastar’s old mansion, vowing to preserve it as a tribute to Whitney, who died in 2012.
Matthew Krauthamer, the fan who purchased the property, says that he plans to move into the 12,561 square foot mansion “in a few months”.

“I’m very conscious of preserving what she created there,” he said. “She had a lot of love and treated people very well.

Whitney hadn’t lived in the home for at least five years before her death. When she first bought the estate in 1987, she added a recording studio, games room, pool house and tennis courts.
“She was generous to so many people and she spent a fortune renovating the house. The grounds are beautiful,” Matthew continued, adding: “It isn’t in bad shape.”
Whitney bought the house for $2.7 million in 1987. It was sold last December to the investment company CPMG Mendham for $999,900.
Whitney died at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on 11 February 2011. An autopsy revealed her death was connected to cocaine use and health issues caused by heart disease.
