Kim Kardashian and Kanye West presented baby North with a rainbow cake as part of her lavish first birthday celebrations.
Which just goes to show: you can give a baby diamond earrings, you can even put on an entire festival for her – but nothing beats cake!
At the weekend, the extended Kardashian-Jenner clan gathered en masse for a party of epic proportions for a fun 'Kidchella' themed bash to celebrate North's milestone birthday.
As Kim carried North in her arms, with her husband at her side, she posed for a photo which she posted to Instagram with the note: "Our baby girl's 1st birthday party! #kidchella."
Kim also shared a photo of North's birthday outfit laid out a furry rug which featured her floral crown, fringe dress and leather gladiator sandals.
North officially celebrated her birthday on June 15, with her big day falling on Father's Day, so the family opted for a low-key celebration in New York, complete with a visit to the Children's Museum Of Manhattan.
The couple had little Nori's ears pierced, and bought her sparkling diamond studs.
Kim posted a picture of Kanye and Nori sleeping, with the caption: "This is what life is about! Our baby girl turned 1 today! We played so hard they passed out while we were watching the game! Happy Father's Day to the best daddy in the world!
"The way you love our daughter and protect her makes me filled with so much love! #BestDayEver #Twins #HappyFathersDay #HappyBirthday."
The low-key celebrations were in contrast to the Kidchella festival, loosely based on the annual Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival held in Indio, California.
Guests dressed up in bohemian festival attire and a mini stage was set up for some karaoke action, while the kids could play on a bouncy castle and go on a ferris wheel.
