'Alien: Isolation' Pre-Order DLC: 'Crew Expendable' Lets You Play As Ellen Ripley

'Alien: Isolation' Just Got Awesome

While pre-ordering video games which are (a) abundant (b) available on digital stores is patently the most pointless thing in modern tech, getting access to exclusive content first is not.

Which is why the upcoming 'Alien: Isolation' survival horror take on Ridley Scott's classic film might be the first game you ever actually buy before release.

Developers Creative Assembly have revealed that pre-orders of the game will come with an exclusive level featuring the crew of the USS Nostromo, the original ship from Alien.

And yes, that includes Ellen Ripley.

The entire crew of the "Crew Expendable" content will be in the game, with Dallas, Parker and Ripley all playable.

The game already looked fantastic, with terrifying atmospherics and a real focus on non-combat strategies and problem solving over the all-guns-blazing nonsense seen in most Alien games.

But with the original Nostromo gang now in the picture, along with an all-new story, albeit one featuring a descendent of Ripley in the lead role, it's going to be pretty much impossible to resist.

Pre-ordered!
