A nice stroll along the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival became a bit chaotic for Ugly Betty star America Ferrera last night when a prankster climbed underneath her dress. Slightly bizarre, eh?
It was her first time at Cannes Film festival and the actress was arriving for the premiere of her new animated movie How to Train Your Dragon 2 when a man ran onto the carpet, laid on the ground and put his head under her long ivory gown. All a little bit on the odd side.
At first the actress was a little oblivious, posing for pictures with co-stars including Cate Blanchett. Security quickly dashed in to remove the man from the red carpet.
The actress was wearing an ivory dress which was gathered at the waist by a belt and featured beading on the top. At first she appeared a little distressed but she was soon comforted by co-star Blanchett.
According to MailOnline the offender is a "serial red carpet pest" who has ambushed celebs in the past.
Hollywood Reporter reports that after the incident Ferrera was all smiles again and said: "It's fine - I'm over it."
The incident didn't seem to dampen Miss Ferrera's spirits though because she was up and about this morning looking pretty jolly as she officially opened the American Pavilion during the 67th annual film festival.
