The National Enquirer and Radar Online have published a shocking 16-minute video of a young Angelina Jolie filmed by 'drug-dealer' Franklin Meyer during the late 1990s.
The New York Daily News reports the clip was made at Jolie's former apartment in New York's Ansonia Hotel. The actress can be seen talking on the telephone and allegedly, she had just taken a hit of heroin.
In an interview with the National Enquirer, Meyer disclosed that Jolie was a "client" for "several years."
"I sold her heroin and cocaine. One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs," he said.
"At the time, I had just bought a video camera and decided to bring it along. When I arrived, I just gave her the drugs and then she gave me the money."
However, commentators are skeptical about the reason behind the publication of this video.

"This Angelina story is ancient history, a source explained to the New York Daily News.
"Pictures like this have been floating around for years. The Enquirer has run pictures like this before. They're just revisiting old news that they think people have forgotten about and slapping a big 'exclusive' on it. The video was probably floating around back then, too. Thing is, nobody cared about video back then."
Jolie's representatives have not yet come forward with a statement, but the actress has spoken out about her drug use in the past.
In 2011, Jolie spoke to the TV show 60 Minutes about her "darker times."
"I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn't die young, so I'm very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn't survive certain things," she said.
The news comes just a month after Angelina was named an honorary dame by the Queen for her work to help the victims of sex trafficking.
