Mum-of-two Kate Winslet has told friends that she wants to get pregnant with her third child by the end of the year.
Kate, who recently tied the knot for the third time, has a daughter Mia, 11, with her first husband, Jim Theapleton, and a son Joe, eight, with her second husband, film and theatre director Sam Mendes. She now wants to extend her family with current husband Ned Rocknroll, nephew of Sir Richard Branson.
Quoting America's Star magazine, an entertainment website says a pal of Kate's revealed that Ned is desperate to be a dad - and that having a baby is now her number one mission in life.
"Kate knows how much Ned wants to be a father," the friend told the mag. "She thinks they would have the most adorable kid together, so they're planning on getting pregnant by the end of the year. Having a child together is her absolute priority."
Kate, 37, recently told OK! magazine that she is in a good place after her turbulent past few years.
"I've never felt better. I'm very happy with the work I've been doing and I'm enjoying my time with my children, who mean the world to me," she said.
Kate and Ned married in December after meeting at Virgin boss Sir Richard's island in 2011. Ned changed his name by deed poll in 2008 from Abel Smith.
