While she is safely ensconced in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Claire Richards' husband Reece Hill has given an interview about their 'fairy tale' relationship and his desire to have another child.
The couple married in 2008, and now have two children together, Charlie, five, and Daisy, three.
Reece, 44, met Claire, now 35, when she was just 20, and he was Steps' publicity manager. The couple began an affair, even though Reece was at the time expecting a baby with his then fiancée. He and Claire split shortly after their dalliance was discovered, and he lost his job working for the band.
In 2003, Claire went on to marry dancer Mark Webb but their union was short, and they divorced after 18 months, and Claire and Reece rekindled their romance.
Last year, Claire opened up about the circumstances of her initial relationship with Reece in her autobiography All of Me - and her husband admits her public revelations fazed him slightly at first.
"I was apprehensive because I didn't want everything dragged out in the open again," he tells new! magazine, "But at the end of the day, it's all true. We met at a time when we shouldn't have been together, but you can't help who you fall in love with and when."
He goes on to describe their relationship as having a 'fairytale ending' and that they have each found their true love.
"I think it is fantastic that the fairy tale came true in the end and we are each other's one true love," he gushed, "She's my perfect partner."
Reece also reveals that he worries how much Claire will miss Charlie and Daisy the longer she stays in the Big Brother house - and how they devised a cute way of Claire being able to 'keep in touch' with them.
"Claire and I recorded about 10 different voice messages for them on my phone before she went in, so every night I tell them 'Mummy's at work, but she's left you a message,' then I play it to them!"
And as for those plans to increase their family...
'Definitely!' says Reece, "I'd like one more - next year would be the ideal time to do it. I think a happy home is a home full of kids."
We agree.
