A new dad killed himself in a maternity unit just an hour after his wife gave birth to their baby.
Michael Carl Nobles, 32, pulled out a gun and shot himself in front of his wife Kendra Noble at the Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston.
The Mail reports that witnesses heard the couple arguing inside the private room before the shots rang out. Tragic Nobles was flown to a nearby trauma hospital, but he died from his injuries.
The couple's newborn was not in the room at the time, and Kendra was not harmed.
The area's local TV channel KHOU-TV say other patients at the hospital are now concerned by the security measures at the facility, which has a 'no guns policy' in place.

Willowbrook Hospital has not commented on the incident.
