David Beckham To Star In New Children's TV Show

He's conquered the worlds of football and fashion and now David Beckham has got his sights on another goal – to become a children's TV star.

For the recently-retired football ace has landed a role in a new kids' TV show. The superstar dad-of-four will become a key face on a new Saturday morning programme aimed at getting Britain's youngsters into sport.

He will front a series of masterclasses for Game Changers, which will be broadcast by Sky Sports, starting on 17 August.

David said: "It's an ambition of mine to inspire more young people to take part in sport. I'm excited to be one of a great group of athletes contributing to Game Changers and working with Sky, who have the passion to make it happen."

Hosted by sprint star Darren Campbell and presenter Di Dougherty, Game Changers will feature Becks as well as Olympic Gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill. Paralympic wheelchair rugby captain Steve Brown will feature as one of the show's reporters.

The first episode will start with a live skills session from inline skating world champion Jenna Downing, who, like David and Jessica, is a Sky Sports Living For Sport mentor. The show will air on Sky Sports, Sky 2 and Pick TV on Freeview.
