Carol Vorderman has told pregnant Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, 'Don't treat babies like baubles' after the star showed off her unborn child's designer wardrobe on Instagram.
Last week, Nadine shared a photo of Christian Dior baby clothes on the photo-sharing site.
The picture showed white baby clothes hanging in a wardrobe, including babygrows and a fur blanket.
She captioned the image: "Baby's beginner wardrobe. It feels like a dream, a really great dream I don't want to wake up from."
But the image was met with disapproval by the much-photographed Ms Vorderman.
Writing in her Closer column, mum-of-two Carol said: "Nadine posted a pic on Twitter of a wardrobe full of Dior baby clothes and I feel uncomfortable about this trend.
"Designer baby wear is a modern invention and seems to turn a child into a china doll.
"Babies have no idea what they are wearing. All they want is something comfy and to feel loved.
"Value the things in life that are worth something. Don't treat babies like baubles."
