A dad got so drunk that he got his SEVEN-YEAR-OLD son drive him to a hotel.
Police stopped the car in the small hours because it had no lights and a 'small person' was at the wheel.
A court was told that dad Peter Sivewright was drunk in the front and his son was crying hysterically.
The boy told police: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, don't take me and dad to jail."
His father, who was four times the limit, confessed to letting his son drive three miles to their hotel in Surfers Paradise on Australia's Gold Coast.

Sivewright, 42, who pleaded guilty to dangerously operating a car and drink-driving, was banned for 21 months. He was spared jail after Southport court heard he turned to drink after his wife and parents died.
