Fears are growing for the safety of two young girls who went missing over the weekend in separate incidents.
Brooke Blakeman, 12, disappeared from her family home in Croydon on Saturday morning, leaving with a bag of clothes.
She was last seen on Monday by a schoolfriend, travelling on a tram between Croydon and Wimbledon.
A police spokesman said: "She is described as 4ft 9in – 5ft tall and is of average build for her height. "She has very long fair hair and wears dark rimmed glasses."
Ruth Bansende, 13, was last seen at her home in Ilford at 11am on Sunday.
Detective Inspector John Delaney from Redbridge CID said: "Ruth is a black female of medium build, 5ft in height, with long black hair.
"She was last seen wearing black and white pin stripe leggings, brown shirt and black and white bandana."
