Gemma Arterton is the queen of effortlessly elegant evening attire and if anyone can get away with turning up to a film premiere wearing jeans and brogues, it's this leading lady.
In fact, Arterton did exactly that at the London premiere of James Franco's documentary The Director hosted by Gucci and Vanity Fair.
The actress arrived at the Mayfair Curzon cinema wearing rolled-up jeans teamed with a neutral sweater, a pair of black patent flats and a metallic Gucci trench coat. (This mac? Amazing.)
Obviously, the only way to complete your look when attending a party hosted by Gucci is with an oversized tan tote from the designer brand. That, plus a touch of peachy blush on the cheeks and a black eyeliner flick.
The actress, who split from her husband Stefano Catelli in 2013, recently spoke about working with strong male characters in films and on stage.
"I'm not attracted to the Gordon Gekko character that we like to watch. They're Machiavellian - they're fun to play and people enjoy them and watch them," Arterton told Now.
"There's something just wrong; it's like they're the devil. But you are captivated by these characters. And I guess that's why they resonate in the end."
