Gillian Anderson is surely one of the best actresses in Britain today (come on, didn't you see The Fall?), a fact acknowledged last night when she scooped the Television Icon trophy at Harper's Bazaar's Women of the Year Awards.
And for the occasion at Claridge's, the artist formerly known as Scully was also a winner in the style stakes making everyone else look a little bit meh in a black floor-length, feathered Nicholas Oakwell gown.
The star teamed her dress with jewels by Adler and Manolo Blahniks (which is quite lucky really as he was there too and they ended up having a lovely long chat).
Gillian had a huge proportion of the female population's dream job earlier this year working with Jamie Dornan on aforementioned BBC crime drama The Fall.
Speaking of her co-star's recent casting as Christian Grey in the big-screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, the actress said to the Irish Independent: "The books don't really appeal to me but from the frenzy that's taking place as a result of hearing the news, I imagine it's a good thing. I hope he's happy about it."
So, Gillian won't be buying a ticket but we're pretty sure this is still one film that's still going to do well at the box office.
Anyway, take a spin through all the looks from last night's awards. This is OMG-level glamour...
