Kerry Katona and fiancé George Kay have decided to call their unborn baby daughter Jorgie – because they thought she was going to be a boy, according to a newspaper.
The Daily Star said the couple had settled on the name George James Katona Kay for their first child after being told Kerry was expecting a boy.
They were amazed when it was revealed in December they were actually having a daughter and so, after struggling to think of a new girl's name, they decided to stick with their first choice because they loved it so much. However, Kerry has not confirmed the name choice and told her 331,000 Twitter fans last night: "Still no names for our little princess yet!! Think once we see her we will know xxx"
Before Kerry's Tweet, a friend told the paper: "After discovering she was expecting, Kerry did a test which said there was an 86 per cent chance she was having a boy.
"They decided on the name George after the baby's dad and thought that would be nice. But they were shocked to find out two months ago they were having a girl.
"They had to go back to the drawing board to pick a name but they couldn't think of anything they wanted."
The friend added: "They thought about Georgina but worried it sounded a bit old and frumpy. Then Kerry suggested changing the spelling to the female version Jorgie and having James as a second name.
"That's when they settled on Jorgie James Katona Kay for her. It's unusual but Kerry has never been one for convention and she thinks it's lovely."
Kerry, 33, and first-time dad George, 34, have had a mural painted on the wall of their home in Oxfordshire with her children's names Molly, 12, Lilly-Sue, 11, Heidi, seven, and Maxwell, five, plus the next addition, Jorgie James.
Kerry took to Twitter to say how excited she was about her fifth child.
She tweeted: "Seven weeks and counting till our baby girl gets here!! She got very spoilt yesterday!! Can't wait to hold her :-)"
