Actor George Clooney and his fiancee Amal Alamuddin are thought to be considering actual Downton Abbey - AKA Highclere Castle - as a wedding venue ahead of their big day in September.
Although we stopped paying attention to the 53-year-old when he ripped out our hearts by popping the question to Amal, we are kind of intrigued about the details of his upcoming nuptials.
Reports say Clooney made inquiries into the availability of the country pile after he and Alamuddin took a private tour of the castle earlier this year.
"When he saw his bride-to-be's reaction to the spectacular Victorian castle, set on 1,000 acres of parkland, he began making some discreet inquires about having their wedding performed there," a source said. "He was told they would be most happy to accommodate them!
"George loves the idea of marrying at the castle, because it's a glamorous place he could secure," the insider added.
While we were expecting the venue to cost above and beyond our yearly salary, MyDaily was surprised to learn brides and grooms can tie the knot at Downton for £15,000 - that's just loose change for Clooney.
However, we're finding it a little more than difficult to believe the notorious bachelor would really get hitched on what's basically a TV set. This is the real deal, right?
Although, with famous American fans including Katy Perry, Tom Hanks and Michelle Obama perhaps we're being overly skeptical - maybe Stateside stars just can't get enough of the show.
