Zara Phillips has had a baby girl, weighing 7lb 12 oz. Princess Anne's daughter gave birth this morning with her husband Mike Tindall by her side at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The baby is the Queen's fourth great-grandchild and is 16 in line to the throne.The baby has not yet been named, but the bookies' favourite is Elizabeth (7/1) followed by 8/1 Anne, (8/1) and Emma (10/1).
A statement from Buckingham Palace reads: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike's parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby's name will be confirmed in due course.
"This baby is the first child for Zara and Mike, the third grandchild for The Princess Royal and the fourth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and is 16th line to the Throne."
The baby will be Princess Anne's third grandchild. Zara's brother Peter and his wife Autumn have two daughters: Savannah Anne Kathleen, who turned three in December, and Isla Elizabeth, who will be two in March.
