The Duchess of Cambridge will attend her first public engagement on September 12 - eight weeks after giving birth to Prince George.
MailOnline reports that Kate and husband William will be guests of honour at the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards, organised by Tusk Trust - a UK charity of which William is patron. It will be Kate's first official public engagement since George's arrival, although she will still formally be on maternity leave, the length of which has not been announced.
A Kensington Palace spokesman confirmed the news to MailOnline, saying: "It is a long standing engagement."

And we bet there won't be a dark circle or patch of baby sick in sight.
Welcome back, Kate!
