Kate Middleton Is Red Hot In Recycled Alexander McQueen For Dramatic Arts Reception At Buckingham Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was hobnobbing with 250 stars of stage and screen at Buckingham Palace's Reception for the Dramatic Arts on Monday night - and stood out in a stunning scarlet Alexander McQueen frock.

Kate has worn the pleated peplum dress at a high-profile event before, donning it while on the Royal Barge during the Diamond Jubile river pageant in 2012.

She swapped her trusty LK Bennett nude heels for a chic black pair this time, and also added a pair of statement gold earrings.

She rubbed shoulders with the likes of Uma Thurman and Helen Mirren, with whom she giggled about Prince William calling her 'granny' at the Baftas.

Other stars at the bash included Joely Richardson, Joan Collins, Gemma Arterton, Alan Rickman and Sir Roger Moore.

The event was hosted by the Queen to celebrate her 60 years as patron of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and the contribution that the arts have made to national life.

And Kate, as usual, was picture perfect.
