Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has revealed she pined for the family's dog Lupo while on the royal tour of New Zealand and Australia.
While many would be excited about sleeping in their own bed or simply not being on the move with a nine-month-old baby, the 32-year-old just couldn't wait to get home to see the cocker spaniel.
The Duchess made the admission at the end of the tour in Australia when a well-wisher presented her with a toy for the young family's adorable pet.
"Everyone is giving me presents for George but this is the first present I've received for Lupo," she said, reported US magazine.
"Nobody knows how much I'm missing my own dog... I really miss him. He'll be so happy to have it to play with," she added.
Lupo has been a constant friendly fixture in Duchess Kate, Prince William and Prince George's lives and frequently featured in pictures with the young family.
He has also become a celebrity in his own right with a spoof Twitter account dedicated to him to prove it. In addition, he was voted 50th most interesting "person" by Tatler magazine in 2013.
The royal tour officially ended on April 25 when Duchess Kate, Prince William and Prince George boarded a jet back to the UK.
They will now have two weeks off before commencing royal duties which include visiting Perthshire in Scotland on May 20th.
