Clashing prints are a 'thing' in fashion circles right now, but that's not to say they work for or on everyone.
Take Katie Holmes on the set of her latest movie, Miss Meadows, for example. Is this a case of clashing cool or clashing calamity?
KH is sporting a smorgasbord of prints that play against each other, but at the same time also work in harmony (eh?). Does a navy, white and red silk checked blouse, complete with clashing floral bib, and a red, white and black pencil skirt really go together?
On first sight it made our eyes hurt, but once we adjusted to the new frequency we've unanimously agreed that this is a hot, retro-feminine look that seriously works for the normally super duper casual Katie.
As with all tricky trends, it helps if you add an air of confidence into the mix - as demonstrated perfectly by madam Holmes.
