Lady Gaga is not usually one for going au naturel, but that's exactly what she did on the cover of Porter magazine's Summer 2014 issue.
The 28-year-old singer went back to basics as she posed fresh-faced, crazy wig-free and dressed in her grandmother's robe for photographers Inez & Vinoodh.
"It is often easy to forget that there is actually a young woman - and an exceptional musician - behind the wigs and the costumes, the hype and the theatrics," said the mag's editor-in-chief Lucy Yeomans.
"With these pictures, we wanted to reveal the woman behind the Lady, the artist behind the artifice, Yeomans continued.
"When I first saw Inez & Vinoodh's shot of Gaga wearing nothing but her grandmother's vintage robe - the piece she often wears to write her music in - I just knew it had to be the cover.
"It felt authentic, personal and beautiful, and unlike any image I have seen of her before."
Gaga follows suit from Gisele Bundchen, who graced the first issue of the magazine.
The second issue of PORTER is shoppable through NET-A-PORTER's iPhone app and is available at newsstands globally and at NET-A-PORTER.COM and THE OUTNET.COM from Friday 4th April.
