Lady Gaga's Music Video For 'G.U.Y' Features The Cast Of Real Housewives As Her Backing Band (Yup, It's As Weird As You'd Expect)

When you've worn a dress made of meat and hatched from an egg at the Grammys, there are few ways that remain to shock the public, but somehow Lady Gaga has managed to surprise us with a sneak peek of the video for her new single 'G.U.Y'.

It's less Gaga's choice of costume or set this time round, and more her choice of extras, which comes as a shock.

The usually abstract artist has cast the reality stars from Real Housewives of Beverley Hills to strut their stuff alongside her in the video.

A behind the scenes glimpse of the vid was broadcast in the US on The Today Show, and it shows Housewives cast members including Kyle Richards, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump and Kim Richardsperforming at the lavish Hearst Hotel in California alongside Gaga.

The ladies are armed with instruments including harps and tambourines and dressed in pink to play backing band to Lady Gaga, who takes centre-stage in a giant white feathered headdress and matching gown.

We're sure there's something tongue-in-cheek going on here, but in the 30-something second clip, Gaga's only explanation is that she's "always caught somewhere between art and pop - that's it". Err, that clears that up then, or not.
