Lena Dunham's much anticipated first book Not That Kind of Girl doesn't land in stores until September.
However, speaking on a panel during Book Expo America this week, the 28-year-old actress, writer and director shared a few lines from its introduction.
Dunham's collection of essays was inspired by Gurley Brown's book Having It All, but this is her own spin on what it's like to have sex, fear and self-loathing in your twenties.
Here's a snippet of what to expect...
"And if I can take what I've learned to make one menial job easier for you, prevent you from having the kind of sex where you feel like you must keep your sneakers on in case you want to run away during the act, then every misstep of mine was worthwhile.
"I'm already predicting my future shame in thinking I had anything to offer you, but also my future glory in having stopped you from trying an expensive juice cleanse, or thinking that it was your fault when the person that you're dating suddenly backs away because they're intimidated by the clarity of your personal mission here on Earth."
Thanks Lena! Man, is there anything this woman can't do? She directs, she acts, she writes and she dabbles in fashion (that US Vogue cover, baby) plus she's completely hilarious.
We cannot wait to get our hands on this book of essays aka our potential new guide to everything.
