Lily Allen is to make her long-awaited singing comeback this Christmas after landing the coveted John Lewis advert.
The 28-year-old mum of two has recorded a cover of Keane's 2004 single Somewhere Only We Know - sticking to the store's formula of a young artist covering a classic song.
Last year Gabrielle Aplin's cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Power of Love was so popular it got to number 1. And in 2010, Ellie Goulding's version of Elton John's Your Song topped the iTunes chart.
The ad will be perfectly timed to help plug Lily's third album, which is released in the new year.
Lily announced she was retiring in 2009 but recently said she is returning to music because she's sick of playing with children's toys.
When asked if she missed the music industry, the singer said: "I didn't actually. I had no intention of doing it again. Being a mother is great but if you are creative you have that urge to get back out.
"There's only so much kids' TV and playing with Lego you can do before you go insane."
The John Lewis ad is expected to be broadcast late October or early November.
