Mirror Mirror: Kristabel Plummer

Knitwear designer Kristabel Plummer stamped her personal style on the world wide web back in 2008 when she started her fashion blog. She's had us green with wardrobe envy ever since. Kristabel caught up with MyDaily to talk Carven, Naomi Campbell and bootcut jeans - in between street style snapping and updating her beyond-pretty Pinterest page.

When I look in the mirror I see... a twenty-something girl who is inspired by the unexpected and working out how to best navigate the world.

If I were stranded on a desert island with just one dress it would be... my Hawaiian print Topshop dress, which was one of my favourites this summer and perfect for island life with a cute tie front. However, this is a dream scenario, so I'm hoping I could get my hands on one of the Carven Toile de Jouy printed pieces from S/S13!

When I was at school I wanted to be... well, my choices ranged from model - Naomi Campbell seemed amazing at the time - to chef - I just wanted to eat all day - to fashion designer. I remember when my Aunt took me to work with her one day and I kept drawing models with crazy hair and made-up names. My label was to be called 'first-class' purely because I'd found one of her postage stamps.

My biggest style triumph was... I'm not totally sure if I'm there yet? My blog documents most of what I wear on a day to day basis and although my style has definitely evolved, I still feel I could push myself further. If you'd asked me this when I was 16, it would probably be finding the perfect shirt and jumper combination to wear with bootcut jeans. I still shudder!

If I could be any character from film or literature I'd be... Amelie! I still have the poster in my room and hope that I can be transported to her whimsical world somehow. When I last went to Paris I wanted all these fun, random things to happen to me but they just didn't and I kept getting lost!
