My Work Style: EdenCancan

The staff at PR agency EdenCancan know the importance of slick, stylish work wares. We dropped by their London office to get a few pointers on what to wear, how to wear it and where to shop.

Creative director Nick Ede wears a Duchamp jacket over a blue jumper from Cos, grey Uniqlo jeans and Rockport shoes. As for the details? The belt is also by Duchamp, the yellow socks are Cos and the watch is by Slow (this brand uses just one hand to shows the 24 hour time).

"My work style is preppy but dressed down. I think colour is really important as it creates identity and confidence - attention to detail is also key."

What are Nick's work wardrobe staples? Good shoes: brogues or pristine white high tops (he buys 50-60 pairs a year) and good accessories. "A watch and belt will always dress up an outfit" he says.

Where does this dapper gent shop? "I like high-end high street brands, though Uniqlo and Next are great for basics. I always go to sales and I tend to pick up four or five key items a season."

Junior account manager, Lauren Matthews looks incredible in a black slogan Topshop tee, Zara skirt and vintage tartan jacket. The OTT, studded heels? They're by Jeffrey Campbell.

Accessories wise, Lauren carries a black studded tote from Zara and wears a gold eagle statement necklace from Topshop. The rings? Tessa Metcalfe, Tiffany & Co and Maria Francesca Pepe.

"I wear a lot of leather - I just love it. Then I tend to blend vintage/ charity shop finds with high street."

She's really into the all white trend - think crisp whites with statement accessories - and when she's not in heels Lauren's in her limited edition Nike Air Max kicks.

Julie Demetriou, head of media relations, wears a grey Alexander Wang tee tucked into a leather pencil skirt from Zara and a killer pair of black patent Christian Louboutins. This is exactly how to do casual-glam in the office.

"I'm very classic with my look. I like smart stylish pieces so I wear a lot of leather skirts, sharp black blazers and skinny jeans. I'm really not into wearing jewellery, though."

Where does Julie get style inspiration? "I take snippets of looks from everywhere, I like Victoria Beckham's style, Courtney Love, Blondie. Plus I'm constantly reading so online is a huge influence."

As for the beauty routine? Julie swears by the By Terry concealer and Liz Earle's Botanical Essence No.15 perfume. She also has a blow dry once a week without fail. It's her thing.

Michael Frederick, junior account executive, wears the Barry Sloane Charity slogan tee from Boohoo.com (Nick Ede launched this collection to raise funds and awareness for The Stroke Association) with pale denim jeans also from Boohoo.

The white high tops are from Primark, the brown bag is by Radley and the smart watch is French Connection.

"I tend to buy in bulk so that everything matches, for example I'll buy five pairs of trousers and the shirts that I think go with them. If I'm splurging, I'll spend on trainers."

Grooming products? Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf and Play by Givenchy.

Charlotte Tobin, account director, wears a white summer dress from Topshop with a blue cardigan from H&M and nude heels from Next.

She carries a beautiful medium tote by Mulberry, wears a Michael Kors watch, Tiffany & Co ring and Pandora bracelet.

"I'd describe my look as girly-plain-Jane and I really like Molly King's style."

Charlotte is all about quality classic pieces. She invests in a Mulberry handbag every year and will always spend on good dresses, bags, shoes and watches.

"I always have my nails painted, I think it says so much about a woman - especially in the work place."
