The UK Fashion & Textile Association know ALL there is to know about British designers, manufacturers, agents and brands. Team MyDaily met the team at their offices to talk work gear and note down their tips on styling Monday through to Friday.
Lydia Waliszak, business development manager at the UKFT Association, wears a Hoss Intropia dress over a lace cami from Jigsaw, Kurt Geiger boots, a grey Michael Kors handbag and string of vintage pearls.
"I like to wear a pair of heels every day and I don't think you can wrong with a good fit and flare dress - Karen Millen always have some great styles."
Director of special projects, Adam Mansell wears an Austin Reed shirt, Replay jeans, a Chester Barrie jacket and classic brogues by Grenson. Then there's the matter of the Richard Charles belt, Breitling watch and Duchamp cufflinks - you can tell this gent works in the industry.
What are Adam's fail-proof wardrobe pieces? "Sharp suits and ties. I wear a lot of English tweed jackets and footwear by heritage brands such as Trickers and Churches."
Melanie Flood is director of communications at the UKFT Association and wears a white under dress (complete with corset) with a fabulous full dress and knitted cuffs all by Swedish designer Ewa i Walla (Helena Bonham Carter is a fan).
Melanie teams her dress with Kurt Geiger boots, Topshop tights, Swarovski rings, red lipstick by Mac (she's been wearing it since she was 16-years-old) and Master Plan nail polish by Essie.
"I think my look is urban shabby chic. I like rustic mixed with a touch of city girl and I love to showcase new designers when I can.
"My hair is my thing, I change it every few months and have literally been every shade: platinum, purple, pink, lavender, black, crimson and now dark brown. "
Marketing coordinator, Tamara Rizvi wears a grey H&M top - which she customised to make shorter - pencil skirt from Joseph, Zara jacket and embroidered cowboy boots by Steve Madden.
On the accessories front? Tamara puts together a gold vintage statement necklace, a gold chain from Anthropology (with gemstone detailing), a panther ring from the V&A, skull earrings from The Welcome Collection and a Cartier watch.
The beautiful black handbag is Mulberry, and Tamara throws on a black pashmina and fox fur collar to complete her look.
Her style inspiration? Elizabeth and Ashley Olsen and she buys her work wardrobe staples from Zara, H&M and & Other stories. Her makeup bag can't-live-without is Laura Mercier's primer.
Ellie Weatherseed is senior account executive at Lisa Berwin Communications - which represent the UKFT Association - and wears a white boxy top from Cos, check print trousers and a double breasted tan coat both from Topshop and black Zara heels.
Jewellery-wise Ellie, wears a silver Pandora bracelet, a Monica Vinader necklace and a vintage diamond ring. Her show-piece? The dreamy black Alexander McQueen handbag from Harrods which was her graduation present.
Talking about her own work style, Ellie says: "I like tailored pieces that are fitted and flattering. Colour-wise, I love pastels and romantic shades. "
Her beauty essentials? "For my hair - definitely Moroccanoil. Makeup wise - my Mac foundation, though my makeup is pretty much the same day and night."
Sara White, account manager at Lisa Berwin Communications, wears a blue denim-effect dress from Cos, coat from Mint Velvet, heels by Wittner, a beautiful croc print Alexa bag by Mulberry and Kookai shades.
When it comes to dressing for work, Sara says: "Always dress appropriately and make sure you feel confident. You can't go wrong with a classic shift dress and heels.
"I love Rose Byrne's style, and Carey Mulligan always looks beautiful."
