A woman has been arrested after a newborn baby was found dead in a washing machine.
Police became suspicious after the woman was treated in hospital for bleeding, believed to be from giving birth.
They searched her home in northern Italy and found the baby.
The woman, from Moldova, denied giving birth.
She is accused of homicide and hiding a body, according to Italy's ANSA news agency.
