Christian Dior's Spring/Summer 2014 couture collection was all kinds of pretty. Pastels, gorgeous gauzy fabric, strapless dresses and floaty florals were a big thing at the Paris show.
Ultra-feminine yes, but there was a sexy, sophisticated edge to these couture designs. Note the black sheer separates, the black peep-toe lace-up heels, the asymmetric and cut-out detailing.
Dresses this season will be mullet-style, mini and A-line. Here's to twirling in them all.
The pastel lavender, pink, green and blue was seen alongside a sharper monochrome palette. Key pieces had chiffon, applique and OTT embellishment details that were both dainty and standout at the same time. Check the sequinned kicks because that's how the Dior girls do fancy footwear.
These metallic stilettos with knee-high brace panels? Love them.
In short this collection was completely stunning. And can we just talk about the hair? Easy down-dos with verging-on-greasy side swept fringes. The kind of hair every girl can do.
As far as front row attendance goes, Kate Bosworth was one of many beauties who tottered up in colour-block heels and a metallic plaid-print dress. That's how Parisian couture chic is done.
